2022: Localization of production of TV set-top boxes SberBox

The company SberDevices localizes large-scale production of smart TV consoles SberBox in Russia at the facilities of the innovative cluster Technopolice GS (investment project of the GS Group holding in Gusev, Kaliningrad Region). The assembly of devices was implemented at the enterprise of NPO Digital Television Systems JSC (part of the cluster). This was announced on February 9, 2022 by Sber.

Since 2022, all SberBox consoles have been assembled in Russia. Technical equipment and developed competencies made it possible to localize at the plant of NPO "CTS" all the key technological operations for the assembly of TV attachments SberBox: surface installation of components on printed circuit boards, output installation of boards, installation of software, assembly into a housing, testing of finished attachments, packaging of products. For one shift in production in February 2022 year, about 4000 devices are collected, the full assembly cycle of one device takes only 10 minutes.

We are glad that since 2022, 100% of TV consoles are SberBox assembled in Russia. Localization of production is a very important area of ​ ​ work for us. We studied proposals from more than 10 different sites in different regions and chose the cluster of enterprises Technopolice GS, whose competencies most fully met the design requirements. In addition to assembling devices in the Kaliningrad region, we also localized the production of plastic cases and packaging - now these elements are produced at factories in Lipetsk and Udmurtia. The transfer of assembly to Russia will allow us to better control the quality of goods produced, optimize logistics and costs associated with production abroad.
