The CROC company created a geographic information system for the All-Russian Research Institute of hydrometeorological information — World data center (GU "VNIIGMI-MTsD"). Today meteorologists can request information on a set of parameters of the specific territory, correct the request depending on a task and receive the instant answer. The sheaf with a specialized management system for the database allowed to store and process data in a binding to geographical coordinates, to build diagrams and charts, to control quality of information arriving from measuring points. The Oracle platform with the option Spatial selected for storage, processing of geospatial data and their integration into applications became a reliable basis for creation of the difficult GIS-application using powerful functions of the database for the analysis and processing of space information. The software products of Bentley Systems functioning on Intel-серверах IBM System x are the cornerstone of an end-to-end hardware-software geographic information system.
