The data center in Vladivostok received a certificate of conformity Tier III. This was announced by 3Data (3Data) on June 23, 2022.

The franchisee partner is Key Point, which has successfully passed the certification.

The status of compliance with the design documentation with the Tier III requirements level confirms the redundancy of all critical engineering infrastructure components included in the project (from N + 1 and above), which will ensure its stable and continuous operation, including during preventive and repair work.

The document was preceded by a comprehensive audit of the technical design documentation, during which the experts of the Uptime Institute checked the plans of the main engineering systems of the data center for compliance with the Tier III fault tolerance criteria in order to detect potential risks.

It is important to note that all on-site work to create a Key Point data center is carried out in strict accordance with the documentation certified by the Uptime Institute. The next step in the multi-stage certification procedure for the data center will be the examination of the built object.

Start of construction of the data center on the territory of the Nadezhdinskaya TOR

At the beginning of 2021, 3data announced the replication of its model of the data center franchise to the Far East and its intention to commission a commercial data center on the territory of Nadezhdinskaya TOR during 2022. The franchisee partner was Key Point, which confirms compliance with the project schedule and readiness to place client racks in September 2022. 3data announced this on February 17, 2022.

As of mid-February 2022, zero cycle work was performed at the facility, namely:

• vertical layout of the land plot allocated for the data center;
• arrangement of pits, concreting of foundations and laying of basement floors for construction of the first two process modules and office building.

The design solution takes into account the loads of the future building and external engineering facilities on the soil - taking into account the characteristics of the geo-foundation, the depth of soil freezing and the depth of groundwater. This is an important point, since the project provides for a high degree of redundancy of components of the life-supporting infrastructure, including heavy ones.

The winter period for any construction site is a kind of organizational check, since seasonal temperature changes, precipitation and inconsistencies in logistics can seriously affect the timing of construction work, "said Key Point CEO Yevgeny Virzer. - In our case, all these risks were safely prevented, thanks to the professionalism of contractors and quite comfortable climatic conditions of the region, which made it possible not to be distracted by the fight against snow drifts.

As of February 2022, the first module is already installing metal structures on the first floor. By the end of March, it is planned to complete the installation of the framework of all facilities of the first stage, which will allow you to switch to interior decoration and equipping the data center with engineering systems. All manufacturers have already concluded relevant contracts, manufacturers have begun to produce engineering equipment. It is worth noting that part of the engineering equipment of the data center is manufactured at the Nadezhdinskaya TOR - a moment that significantly reduces the supply chain both at the stage of creating the data center and during its further development. Already in the summer of 2022, the facility will undergo load tests.
