2021: Organization of address storage, handling of batches and shelf life

The pilot project was implemented at the Iceberry warehouse in Penza. The key objectives of the project were to organize address storage, work with batches and shelf life, as well as set up data exchange with the Mercury system. In addition, Axelot WMS has been integrated with a number of The information systems involved in managing the company's business processes, the Datareon ESB data bus was the integration tool.

As part of the project, the "Gate Control" subsystem was finalized. In particular, the following functionality was implemented:

• issuance of passes for transport funds from the workplace "Security Post";
• Automatic sending of SMS to drivers about the installation of the vehicle on the gate and the beginning of loading/unloading work;
• Automatic planning of vehicle placement at the shipping/loading gate.

An operator's workplace has also been created to manually position vehicles at the shipping/loading gate.

In addition, the planning process for the shipment of goods through the compartments of the vehicle body was implemented. Specific SKUs are assigned to each compartment (the WMS system has added a directory of compartments with the transfer of goods for shipment to this compartment), based on the data of the handbook when performing a piece shipment, the system prompts to which compartment of the vehicle it is necessary to move the shipped goods.

The inventory process has also been refined: when you specify a problem when performing warehouse operations with shipping documentation, the system automatically creates inventory tasks not only for the problem bin, but also for cross-neighboring bins, for the previous bin from where this item was moved to the problem bin, and for similar bins in all rows of the warehouse.

With the implementation of Axelot WMS X5 in the warehouse, it was possible to reduce the dependency on personnel during operations. The shipment speed has increased, system control of shelf life has been ensured.
