2022: Installing Hikvision introscopes

On February 25, 2022, the company Hikvsion announced that the first Hikvision introscopes were installed in. Ice Palace Samara

Installing Hikvision Introscopes

According to the company, in September 2021, the opening of the Ice Palace took place in Samara, the reconstruction of which began in 2018. The arena building itself was built back in the 60s of the last century. The area of the sports complex is 29 thousand square meters, spectator stands are designed for 5,000 fans. The facility has three ice fields (main, training and curling grounds), sports and gyms, as well as two conference halls for 400 seats with a total area of 375 square meters.

As part of the reconstruction project of the Ice Palace in Samara, a complete modernization of the security system was envisaged, including cameras, video surveillances access controls and a security system, as well as inspection complexes for the entrance zone. Hikvision equipment was selected for technical re-equipment of the facility. The general contractor of the project was the organization "-Volgatransstroy 9" (part of the MTC Group of Companies), - system integrator the company "."ITERA

Special attention is paid to inspection activities at sports facilities: in addition to the requirements for the accuracy of detection of dangerous and prohibited objects, it is also necessary to ensure rapid flow at stadiums, especially during matches and competitions that gather a large number of spectators.

The entrance zone of the reconstructed Ice Palace in Samara is equipped with 8 sets of inspection equipment, which consist of an X-ray television installation (introscope) and a metal detector frame. The Hikvision line of introscopes appeared on the Russian market in the summer of 2021, and the Ice Palace was the first project implemented in the Russian Federation using the company's inspection equipment.

Metal detector frames are designed for detection of metal and metal-containing objects on human body. The devices work simultaneously with 18 areas, which allows you to localize a potentially dangerous object as accurately as possible - when a threat is detected on the frame, a light indicator will work on the side where the presence of metal was recorded. Flexible frame sensitivity settings allow you to set the desired threshold so that the system does not respond, for example, to rings, watches and buckles. In total, 255 levels of sensitivity are provided, while for different zones, the operator can adjust a different threshold and different types of sound signals that will help to quickly respond to possible threats to the safety of the sports facility and its visitors. The adjustable electromagnetic wavelength avoids interference that typically occurs in the operation of several frames adjacent to each other.

In addition to inspection equipment, the Ice Palace technical equipment project also included the installation of a video surveillance system, access control, traffic security sensors and alarm buttons, as well as a dispatch system.

The project involved cameras with Hikvision technologies - Lightfighter and Darkfighter, which help form a detailed and informative image in conditions of strong illumination or, conversely, low lighting. Recorders in the video surveillance system of the Ice Palace work in N + 1 mode - in case of disconnection of one of the recorders, the recording will continue to the backup, and when the operation is restored, the missing archive files will be transferred from the backup to the main device.

The general management of the security system is carried out through the server and the HikCentral Professional software. For the convenience of the operator, an interactive map (E-Map) of the object is provided, which allows you to visualize alarms, determine the exact location of the alarm, as well as view the desired areas of the protected area using cameras. The software platform also visualizes the operational state of the entire system in real time in order to detect technical problems in the network or equipment at an early stage and prevent malfunctions in the entire security infrastructure of the Ice Palace.

The Ice Palace in Samara is one of the iconic sports buildings of the city, where the largest figure skating competitions, hockey matches, concerts of famous artists are held. We are proud that Hikvision took part in the project of reconstruction and restoration of the sports arena and that it was this object that became our first project in the Russian Federation, in which our introscopes were involved, which became part of the integrated safety system of the Ice Palace. Together with our colleagues from the ITERRA integrator company, we managed to create a centralized, easy-to-configure and maintenance solution, which is especially important for sports facilities where you need to quickly and accurately identify potential and real threats. Equipping the Ice Palace in Samara is not the first major Hikvision infrastructure project, so our specialists understood the main task - to ensure centralized management of all elements of the security system, the ability to quickly respond to incidents and potential threats. As the basis of the complex solution, the HikCentral Professional software platform was chosen, which allows you to manage all the subsystems of the stadium - from digital signage elements to security sensors. With the further development of the object, the platform will allow you to add the necessary modules and expand the functionality. Given the growing interest in sports and sports events on the part of the state and youth, in such projects it is extremely important to leave a reserve for further scaling of the infrastructure.
