2022: Commissioning

The "Open Educational Space of St. Petersburg State University" supports the functionality necessary for full-fledged training: videoconferencing, chat rooms for interaction with teachers and other students, monitoring of examinations through proctoring and other tools provided by the training management system.

As Vladimir Starostenko noted, as part of the work on creating a platform on the basis of St. Petersburg State University, a resource was also created for testing by the Center for Language Testing of St. Petersburg State University. So, in 2021, more than 16,000 tests for knowledge of the Russian language for more than 3,000 foreign citizens were carried out on this platform.

For the full functioning of the platform, additional work is planned by the beginning of the school year in order to increase the platform throughput, uninterrupted operation, and ensure load tolerance when visiting the resource. In particular, to provide full-fledged technical support for the platform and support services, work will be carried out to scale the platform. In connection with the threat of disabling foreign software from the end of 2021, the issue of connecting domestic analogues of services providing video conferencing/webinars is also being worked out.

To ensure uninterrupted operation and organizational support of users, the workplaces of administrators will be equipped with computer equipment with increased power characteristics.
