2022: ZTE 5G Indoor CPE MC888 и ZTE 5G Outdoor CPE MC889

On March 1, 2022, ZTE introduced the fourth generation of 5G routers FWA&MBB: two ZTE 5G Indoor CPE MC888 models, two ZTE 5G Outdoor CPE MC889 models and a portable ZTE 5G MiFi MU5120. The updated line covers various use cases: indoors, outdoors, on trips. Devices are equipped with Snapdragon X65 and X62 5G Modem-RF System platforms.

ZTE introduced the fourth generation of 5G routers FWA&MBB

According to the company, in 2019 the company launched the MC801 - 5G CPE router, in 2020 and 2021 the second and third generations of ZTE 5G Indoor CPE devices entered the market. Based on the available achievements and achievements, ZTE has created an updated series of 5G FWA&MBB devices with optimized characteristics. At the same time, a wide range of models will allow you to find devices for various connection options: at home, in offices, on the street, during travel, etc.

The ZTE 5G Indoor CPE MC888 series includes two models: the MC888 and MC888 Ultra. The latter has the Qualcomm Fixed Wireless Access Platform Gen 2 platform with the Snapdragon X65 5G Modem-RF. The device supports Wi-Fi 6E standards with peak speeds of up to 6000 Mbps, as well as mmWave-Sub6 NR CA and 3GPP R16. The device is equipped with supertrantennes 3.0, giving amplification up to 10dBi and providing stable and comprehensive 5G reception even with a weak signal. The MC888 Ultra also implements cooling system ventilation: air passes from top to bottom through special holes and thus removes heat. This solution ensures long and stable operation even under high loads. The MC888 Ultra also supports NFC a single-touch connection to - anyone with Androidsmartphones NFC can quickly connect to the router without input password and other additional steps.

The Qualcomm X62-based MC888 supports Wi-Fi 6 with a peak speed of up to 3600 Mbps and a simultaneous connection of up to 32 users. In operation, the router uses the same antenna technology and gain as the MC888 Ultra.

For outdoor applications, ZTE offers ZTE 5G Outdoor CPE MC889 and ZTE 5G Outdoor CPE MC889 Pro models supporting mmWave, Sub-6 5G and 4G LTE. The devices were made taking into account the low penetration capacity of the mmWave and Sub-6 and optimized bandwidth requirements. MC889 and MC889 Pro have dust protection IP67 and IP65 and operating temperature range from -40 ° C to + 60 ° C. The MC889 Pro is equipped with supertrantennes with a gain of up to 11dBi.

The MC888 device - a Wi-Fi 7 5G CPE router, will appear on sale in the fourth quarter of 2022.

In addition, ZTE demonstrates the capabilities of its devices in the field of communication and data transfer. The next generation 5G mmWave CPE with the Qualcomm SD X65 chip reaches speeds of more than 10 Gb/s, and CPE devices will support dual connectivity between mmWave and Sub-6G. Special thermal conductive and heat dissipating materials, time-sharing technologies, the next generation of micromanagement algorithms allow devices to increase coating. As a result, they can be used when working with Big Data, IoT and IoV.

For many years, Qualcomm Technologies and ZTE worked together to create devices for mobile broadband access, while some of the ZTE solutions for 5G networks are fixed-wireless CPE products designed for home or office and equipped with Qualcomm Fixed Wireless Access Platform Gen 1 platforms. Congratulations to ZTE on launching the next generation of indoor and outdoor 5G CPE devices and a mobile router based on the Qualcomm Fixed Wireless Access Platform Gen 2 platform with the Snapdragon X65 and X62 5G Modem-RF modem system.

Based on the scenario of creating a smart ecosystem "1 + 2 + N," covering all areas of our lives, ZTE Mobile Devices builds it step by step. At the same time, for the "Internet of Everything" (IoE), comprehensive integration of "1 + 2 + N" is impossible without the "5G +" system, which is formed by devices with a mobile broadband connection.
