2022: Starting Linx Protect

On March 11, 2022, the company Linxdatacenter announced the launch of the Linx Protect product. It provides tiered - protection Internet resources and web applications from cyber attacks with minimal customer involvement and IT no capital expenditure.

A distinctive feature of Linx Protect is the combination of two components - Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Firewall TCP service protection/from UDP (DDoS attacks anti-)DDoS and threats from the OWASP TOP 10 list.

WAF is a collection of monitors and filters designed to detect and block network attacks on web applications.

Service protection blocks DDoS attacks through filtering of any type of malicious traffic, connected through a tunnel based on the IPIP/GRE protocol, proxy, or directly on a physical site.

In addition to blocking DDoS activities of intruders at the L3-L5 and L7 levels (optional), the product allows you to prevent bot activity (DNS/JS checks, BOT signatures, browser behavior analysis, CAPTCHA), as well as protect against client-side attacks (CSP, CSRF injecting incidents) and uDDDoS oS.

Linx Protect uses its own network "traps" (Honeypot) integration data management and with the Threat Intelligence (TI) platform to create current protection policies.

The Linxdatacenter team takes over the full implementation and support of the product: performs customization of individual protection policies for the web application, regular analysis of false positives, changes to the protection mechanisms, constant monitoring of incidents and response. Thus, Linx Protect users do not need to manually configure themselves or have deep knowledge of cybersecurity, which significantly saves the resources of IT departments of client companies.

"Linx Protect provides end-to-end protection for customer infrastructure and web applications at all levels through a wide range of tools. We also included a passive vulnerability scanner, preventing account matching and blocking the search for hidden site directories (DirBuster). This is a relevant solution in the current economic situation, based on security technologies and allowing our customers to optimize the use of their internal resources, "

commented by Oleg Fedorov, Linxdatacenter Product and Solutions Manager.
