Kaliningrad Railway introduces P7-Office. This was announced by P7-Office (previously New Communication Technologies, NKT) on March 16, 2022.

The process of transferring employees to work with the Russian office application package "P7-Office Corporate Server" began in 2021. As of March 2022, the issue of expanding implementation is being decided. The company uses all the capabilities of P7, but the functionality for document collaboration and project management is most popular. Communication tools are also in demand, including internal chat, the ability to connect a single environment to corporate mail, and an internal portal of a single space.

Thanks to the introduction of P7-Office on the Kaliningrad Railway, it was possible to more effectively build the process of interaction between structural divisions in a single environment within the framework of projects. When employees work remotely, document collaboration has been set up. The risks of losing documents stored on local computers and flexible separation of access rights are also minimized. At the same time, we quickly managed to deploy the solution at the railway's facilities, that is, we did not encounter either technical difficulties or errors in implementing software, the Kaliningrad Railway said.

The introduction of the Russian solution allowed the company to increase the efficiency of cross-functional interactions by automating project management and improving the speed and quality of preparing joint documents.

The company made a choice in favor of development from P7 based on the results of testing, where it compared the most popular Russian solutions. We evaluated the functionality of project management, collaboration, format compatibility, document storage, preservation of formatting and the possibility of integration with Russian operating systems.

The initial results of the transition of users to the P7 Office in the company show that employees quickly adapted to the capabilities of project management and collaboration. The functions of simultaneous editing of documents, display modes of edits and chat within the P7-Office solution are especially in demand. Also noted is the usual intuitive interface, similar to the previously used software.

The organization plans to expand the use of P7-Office in the near future.
