2022: Presentation of the environmental monitoring platform

Rostelecom and the developer of domestic software products KorClass offer the regions an independent digital platform for environmental monitoring for the construction of a single network for monitoring the state of the environment throughout the country. This was announced by KorClass on March 15, 2022. This decision will allow the regions to quickly respond to environmental problems, reduce threats from them by 20-30% and accelerate the implementation of the federal project "Integrated Environmental Quality Monitoring System."

Digital eco-monitoring platform is a universal tool for collecting and analyzing data on the state of the environment in the regions: air, water and soil quality, radiation background, as well as fire and flooding warnings, forecasting, modeling environmental changes. Separate modules of environmental monitoring are already working in the Arkhangelsk, Irkutsk, Nizhny Novgorod, regions, as well as in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. They are part of the Safe City hardware and software complex and combine data from 350 eco-monitoring posts in 115 settlements.

Plus, the digital platform for environmental monitoring in front of individual modules is that it allows you to collect all the environmental indicators of the region in one place, analyze them, model the impact of environmental threats on the region, and most importantly, automatically prepare a list of recommendations and actions that the environmental service needs to take to minimize risks. Our platform collects and analyzes data from radiation, hydrochemical, meteorological monitoring, atmospheric emissions of hazardous chemicals and information from mobile laboratories that measure the level of air or water pollution. The platform's capabilities will help governors, businesses, departments in the field of nature management and environmental protection get access to complete and reliable information about the ecological state of the region, quickly respond to changes in the environmental situation, as well as reduce possible damage by an average of 20-30%, "said Anton Gurenko, Director General of KorClass.

According to Ivan Zima, Vice President for Digital Regions of Rostelecom, environmental security is the most important aspect of the country's domestic policy and one of the priority areas for the development of technologies for smart and safe cities.
