Biography

Graduated from Financial academy at the Government of the Russian Federation majoring in "Finance and the credit", and Truman State University, the USA, in Bachelor of Science (BS), Business Administration.

1995-2000 - Ltd CB Citibank, Russia, Moscow, analyst of management of financial control.

Citibank Handlowy, Poland, the vice president, management of financial control is 2000-2003.

Citibank a.s., the Czech Republic, the vice president, management of financial control is 2003-2004.

2004-2011 - Ltd CB Citibank, Russia, Moscow, head of department of information technologies.

Since 2011 - Raiffeisenbank Ltd, Russia, Moscow, CIO.

2012: The first head of directorate of IT of Raiffeisenbank

Fall of 2012 Andrey Popov, the deputy head of directorate on registration and accounting of banking activities and information technologies became the first head of directorate of information technologies of Raiffeisenbank in Russia. Earlier independent directorate of information technologies in the Russian Raiffeisenbank (Raiffeisenbank Ltd) did not exist, and, thus, Popov will become its first head.

"We create separate directorate in view of growth of influence of this sphere on banking business. It is sure that inclusion it in board will even more strengthen positions of bank in the field of information technologies" — Sergey Monin, the chairman of the board of Raiffeisenbank told.

The main objectives facing the first Chief information officer will become optimization of bank processes in the field of IT and implementation of new services and solutions, Sergey Monin says.

2018

Leaving Raiffeisenbank

In December, 2018 Andrey Popov left a post of the head of directorate of information technologies of Raiffeisenbank. In this position it was replaced by Nikita Shvetsov. Andrey will continue the career outside Raiffeisen Bank International.

Andrey devoted to work in Raiffeisenbank more than seven years, having made a huge contribution to development of directorate of information technologies and bank in general. He could construct one of the best teams in the market, exactly thanks to it the traditional bank IT department turned into this partner for business, having become the reliable base of our achievements in Russia.
