2022: Voice Assistant Development
On April 1, 2022, RuSat Infrastructure Solutions (RIR, part of Rosatom State Corporation) announced that it was a technological partner in the Voice Assistant Altai State University project, the development of which was made possible thanks to the Priority 2030 program. It was prepared with the participation of employees of several institutes and units of AltSU. RIR provided the university with the most suitable flexible software that will close not only the real business needs of the university, but also help to form an educational base for teaching students to work with voice assistants. The project is implemented as part of the development of the RIR direction "Digital Education," which the company considers one of the priorities. At the beginning of April 2022, training is underway for AltSU employees who will implement the project.
The project is associated with the strategic goal of the development program of AltSU - the formation of a technological model of the university, which creates additional opportunities in the field of knowledge and technology, which is synonymous with the main goals of "Priority 2030." Achieving the goals of the program will help ensure the high competitiveness of Russian higher education in the global education market.
As part of the implementation of the project, on the basis of the technological solution provided by AltSU, with the expert support of technical specialists of the RIR, a distance learning system will be launched at the Center for Retraining and Advanced Training of the Institute of Humanities. A program of additional professional education for the operation and training of a voice assistant will be created and implemented to solve the business needs of educational organizations. Voice assistants have already shown their effectiveness, introducing them into the work of the organization helps to optimize the quality of service and saves work and budget. Students will get applied skills about the functioning of voice assistant applications, will be able to create typical dialogue scenarios for them, and choose the most effective ways to solve problems depending on specific conditions.
One of the key tasks of robotic voice assistants in this project will be a hotline to prevent and prevent the spread of coronavirus infection at the university, because coronavirus, although it went into the background, has not disappeared anywhere. Thus, the voice assistant orients students, teachers, parents of students and everyone on COVID-19 issues. In addition, the "University Reference Service for Applicants," "University Reference Service for Employees, Students and the Population" will be launched. But the thematic possibilities of creating dialog constructs are not limited to this. In fact, the university will create a database of keywords and scripts of "live dialogues" for the functioning and training of voice assistants. Robots will be able to conduct a dialogue with the user in a natural language.
"As a technology partner with a large volume of digital competencies, we, first of all, want to pay attention to the importance of Digital Education. Therefore, we are developing a segment of digital products that is aimed at supporting and developing this direction. As a division of ROSATOM, we are ready to use the full range of our competencies, experience and technological opportunities to participate in various projects with universities and other educational organizations. We help the university implement the implementation of the voice assistant to solve real business cases and business problems of the university. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. The main essence of the project is that together we will train students to develop voice assistants. We offer technological cooperation and support in digital projects, including educational ones, "- emphasizes Alexander Zorin, Deputy General Director of Digital Platforms and Smart City Solutions (Rusatom Infrastructure Solutions Division, Rosatom Group of Companies). |
