In early April 2022, it became known about the creation of a new IT system for the traffic police. The corresponding tender for 27 million rubles was won by Software Product. The competition was held by PKU NPO Special Equipment and Communications of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. "

According to Kommersant, citing the tender documentation for the project, the winner of the tender will have to describe possible scenarios for interaction between users of the new digital platform, how to integrate it with other databases of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, "offer options for combining disparate information systems, including those used by the traffic police," and eventually write a technical assignment for development work (OCD) to create such a system. These works must be completed by June 30, 2022.

According to the source of the publication, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is preparing an analogue of its information system for providing activities (ISOD), which has already cost the state 12 billion rubles. The interlocutor suggests that it is planned to combine disparate databases and systems (Web, FIS-M traffic police, EAISTO) on one platform, which will simplify the analysis of information.

The source of the newspaper in a large IT integrator doubts that in the current conditions it is possible to implement projects to build such extensive systems from scratch: contractors will not voluntarily take up this project, taking into account the shortage of computer equipment and the risks of working with power structures, cooperation with which often leads to the initiation of criminal cases.

According to the interlocutor, the cost of building such systems for state institutions starts from 1-2 billion rubles, tenders for the refinement and integration of GIS will be added to this later, and there will be much more amounts. At the same time, the tender may be formal: "the Ministry of Internal Affairs has the task of developing and launching such a system, it is now unrealistic to do this, and you need to report," a Kommersant source added. ^[1]
