Interviews and exchange of all documents between candidates and the bank, as well as their signing, are held in a remote format. On the first day, employees are given basic access to all IT resources so that they can start their tasks without being in the office and immerse themselves in projects.

The experience of recent months has allowed us to rethink the format of remote hiring of employees, says  RosbankaIlya Polyakov Chairman of the Board. - This allows us to attract the best specialists to our team without reference to geography, which is comfortable for candidates and seriously expands our capabilities. If earlier we had isolated examples of remote employment, then in July 2020, in a new paradigm, we began to more actively create distributed teams and accept new developers completely remotely.

According to Polyakov, Rosbank will no longer return to the format of the classic "office" bank. It is expected that in IT departments at least half of employees will remain in a flexible schedule, another 25% will continue to work completely remotely. Such a transition to remote work means further revision and adaptation of the bank's internal processes, including hiring and training team leaders, he added.

By August 19, 2020, about 50% of IT specialists work in the regions, including Nizhny Novgorod, Samara and Krasnoyarsk - the cities in which Rosbank hubs are located. Such a geographical breadth of the team helps not only to ensure uninterrupted support for users in different time zones, but also to enable specialists from the regions of Russia to join the work of a large IT team, the bank noted.[1]

Rosbank implements the Corporate Data Warehouse Reorganization Project, the main purpose of which is to create a single source of structured and verified data, primarily for the purposes of regulatory reporting, risk and management reporting. 11 releases have already been installed.

An important step in transforming the bank's IT landscape is the implementation of the New Retail Tools (NRT) retail banking program. A new front-end solution (credit front) based on the Oracle Siebel platform was introduced, a decision module based on SAS RTDM was introduced, more than 60 services were implemented using the IBM Integration bus, the Bank's Contact Center platform was upgraded (it was transferred to the new Cisco platform), the first functionality of the CRM solution was delivered. In 2017, work continues, including new functionality will be actively delivered within the framework of the already implemented platforms.

A large pool of work was done together with the bank's operational unit to optimize current processes, increase the level of automation and efficiency of the back office. In particular, the first phases of the new Bank Settlement Center, developed in-house, were implemented, the functionality of storing client files in digital form was implemented, the introduction of a new back-office software for the block of Capital Markets and Investment Banking Services (CMIB) for working on the securities market based on the company's solution was successfully completed. " Diasoft Considerable attention was paid to the refinement of services for corporate banking - in particular, the development of the functionality of remote channels, a cache-pooling system, etc.

In order to ensure the reliability of the bank's IT loop, increase the level of availability of business services and increase the transparency of control over IT components, Rosbank completed the implementation of an integrated monitoring platform based on HP solutions, conducted pilot tests and put the first services into trial operation, transferred all elements of the IT landscape to monitoring, and continued to build a business-oriented monitoring model. The work on the business continuity project continued, in particular, the tests of all critical applications of the bank were completed, the regularity of these tests was ensured, a new pool of systems was added to the DR solution.

Special attention was paid to information security issues: the bank implements the adopted Information Security Strategy that meets the requirements of the Societe Generale Group program.

In 2016, the bank continued to optimize the IT block. The main focus was on optimizing the development block, aligning it with application owners (business domains), as well as building agile commands for services, strengthening the IT architecture block, centralizing functions from the regional network, including moving a number of functions to regional support hubs created by the bank in Nizhny Novgorod and Krasnoyarsk.

"For 2017, we have quite serious plans for both the continuation and completion of existing projects and the implementation of further steps to achieve the bank's targeted IT architecture. In the near future, a plan for the implementation of new platforms will be detailed, on the basis of which we plan to actively implement new business opportunities, provide the necessary level of flexibility and speed of implementation of new products and services, actively automate and optimize the bank's internal processes, more accurately understand the client's needs and respond to them. Special focus will be placed on data management[2] and analytical tools. In addition, 2017 will be a year of increased attention to quality: we plan to actively develop the Quality assurance process, including taking into account the experience of the Societe Generale group, "said a member of the board, director of information technology of Rosbank Denis Sotin.

2015

IT Strategy 2015-2017

IT Director of Rosbank Denis Sotin at the TAdviser Banks IT Day conference in October 2015 spoke about the IT strategy of his organization, approved in 2015 and designed for a period until 2017.

According to him, after joining the Societe Generale group, which ended in July 2011, Rosbank existed without an IT strategy for the near future. One of the prerequisites for its development was the approval in mid-2014 of Rosbank's business strategy, which at the end of the year was revised taking into account the changed economic situation. The business strategy defines the directions of development for each type of business of the bank, which should be supported by the IT division. Based on this, the directions of IT development in Rosbank were also determined, says Sotin.

According to Denis Sotin, Rosbank existed for some time without an IT strategy for the next period

Among other prerequisites for developing an IT strategy, Sotin named a large number of legacy systems and processes based on outdated technologies. Many of them required replacement, he noted. So, for example, the core banking system was based on a significantly improved Misys solution, which no longer had almost nothing to do with the original solution. The IT department has been able to optimize the operation of these systems for current tasks, but their support entails high operational costs.

Another prerequisite for the emergence of an IT strategy, Denis Sotin calls the insufficient level of maturity of processes - "below average" - and IT management in Rosbank at various levels: "As I estimated, about 70% of people at the higher and middle level were to be replaced, and some of them have already been replaced."

The projects planned within the framework of the IT strategy are determined by its principles and priorities, notes the Chief information officer of Rosbank. He calls solving business problems the highest priority. Projects identified in this area include the automation of business processes, re-engineering of the corporate data warehouse to obtain the necessary information, the development of remote service channels, the introduction of a new CRM platform on the Oracle Siebel platform , a new credit pool, etc. The main part of the projects planned in Rosbank for 2016 is associated with projects focused on solving business problems, Sotin notes.

Another priority of the strategy is to create a foundation for the future for the development of IT systems as the business develops. In accordance with it, the target IT architecture for 2017-2018 was determined. One of the projects in accordance with this priority is the implementation of an integration bus based on IBM solutions, on which a large number of services will subsequently be implemented.

In accordance with the same priority, IT processes in the bank should be reorganized: reforming the first and second support lines and expanding their functions, creating a situation center and organizing round-the-clock monitoring. Organizational changes to IT processes are planned to be completed in early 2016. This will not only increase the performance of the IT unit, but also reduce the need for IT personnel that the bank now has. According to Denis Sotin, IT personnel now account for about 8-8.5% of the total staff of Rosbank. This is a normal industry indicator, he said, but at the same time "you can solve more tasks with fewer personnel."

Other priorities include optimizing, improving data quality, and mitigating risk. The latter involves the implementation of an internal SLA system for various services, the development of testing environments, control functions, etc.

"Our
strategy is based on the bank's business strategy and both are not conservative: we are committed to development. At the same time, the IT strategy provides not only the solution of the basic things, but also the simultaneous development of the IT landscape, which is a difficult task, "said Chief information officer Rosbank
.

2015 projects

In 2015, a number of large-scale strategic projects were launched. In particular, in 2015, the bank switched to active implementation of projects for retail business as part of a strategic program to create and implement new retail applications. This program also involves the introduction of a new credit front, including a new decision-making module, a new analytical CRM solution, modernization of the bank's contact center on a new technological platform, etc. Rosbank also launched and continued the active development of the functionality of the ROSBANK Online mobile application for owners of smartphones and tablets based on iOS and Android. In addition, in March last year, the bank launched a major project to re-engineer corporate data storage based on IBM solutions. Already in 2015, the first four releases were successfully implemented, while the project itself in the current volume is designed for 2015-2017.

The bank has created a backup data center that meets the requirements of Tier 3. DR solutions for the bank's critical systems have been fully implemented, implemented and tested. To work in the capital market and investment banking services, the 1st stage of the implementation of the new back office system based on the Diasoft solution has been successfully completed. The key functionality for complex projects of the internal accounting system was provided, which made it possible to centralize a significant part of internal accounting, previously decentralized by branches and various systems. Serious improvements to the bank's information systems were implemented in accordance with the new regulatory changes, and appropriate IT support was provided for the ongoing transformation of the bank's branch network.

In 2015, Rosbank also implemented a program to optimize operating costs in terms of information technology, which made it possible to maintain the budget at the level of 2014, without reducing project costs.

2014:2014 projects

In 2014, Rosbank developed information technologies in several areas: optimizing and improving the stability of key banking systems, meeting the needs of business divisions in introducing new products and services, as well as technological support for ongoing measures to optimize and improve the efficiency of the bank's processes.

As part of projects to expand the range of products for individual clients, various types of deposits were implemented, including the "Deposit-online" option in the Internet bank system, credit products, including refinancing of consumer lending and car loans, and the functionality of remote banking was expanded. Payment services developed through remote access channels (in particular, the "templates" option was introduced to store the details of frequently performed transactions in the Internet bank). The list of recipients of payments through ATMs, Internet and mobile banks has been significantly expanded. The number of companies to which Internet bank users can transfer payments has more than 2 times increased and amounted to more than 1,200 companies. In terms of corporate business, new services have been created for clients as part of the development of Rosbank's clearing platform to ensure global banking operations of internal and external corporate clients.

One of the main projects in 2014 was the project to stabilize and optimize the operation of the main banking systems, aimed at increasing their availability, stability of work, optimization of internal algorithms, etc. Within the framework of the project, hardware and software systems were replaced, databases were transferred to the new version of Oracle, exchange interfaces were updated, a disaster recovery solution for key systems of the bank was developed, internal algorithms were optimized, the level of documentation of systems was significantly increased, etc.

According to Rosbank representatives, the implementation of these tasks was a prerequisite for the further development of the bank's IT landscape in accordance with the needs of the business, which will be reflected in the new IT strategy, which is developed on the basis of the adopted business development strategy until 2017: "When developing a new IT strategy, we proceeded from the changed needs of the business, as well as our own long-term vision of the targeted IT landscape that corresponds to the best practices of the Societe Generale group. The IT strategy is at a high stage of readiness. We plan to finalize and approve it in mid-2015. Already now we can identify its key directions. Among them are ensuring a high level of availability of the bank's services, increasing the efficiency and quality of project implementation, as well as reducing costs, "said Rosbank's information technology director. Denis Sotin

2011: IT Platform

Rosbank announced in October 2011 the completion of the transition to a single IT platform with Bank Societe General Vostok (BSGV). Almost 4 months have passed since the formal completion of BSGV's accession to Rosbank - legally it took place on June 30, 2011. Migration to a single infrastructure took 8 months, they say in Rosbank.

The Russian website BSGV now displays a message that the current data on the bank are located on the Rosbank portal. "700 branches of the combined bank and 2800 ATMs operate in a single information space," Rosbank said. - An updated product range for retail customers was introduced, as well as unified procedures for servicing all customers of the combined Rosbank.

435 BSGV ATMs were connected to the unified network, processing was switched to the Rosbank processing center of 230 thousand bank cards, more than 1.2 million client accounts were transferred. "The geography of providing customers with service for the implementation of main banking operations between accounts opened in different regions has expanded," Vladimir Golubkov, chairman of the board of Rosbank, lists the innovations. - Now this opportunity is available to all our clients in all branches and branches of Rosbank. A single account has appeared that can be used to manage funds.

In January 2011, while consolidating the Russian assets of Societe Generale, Rosbank acquired from the French group (which in turn acts as the parent organization for Rosbank) 100% of the shares of Rusfinans and DeltaCredit banks. With the first of them, the BCC integrator works as a contractor. "As far as I know, joining Rusfinance Bank to a single infrastructure will be the next stage until the bank participated in the project," Revaz Bukhradze, BCC Development Director, told CNews. - The merger took place on the basis of Rosbank systems. For example, the UK Misys became the automated banking system of the combined bank. "
