2022: Representation of the concept of an orbital rocket

Russian startup Success Rockets introduced the concept of an orbital rocket for launching satellites. The first orbital launch is scheduled for 2024. This became known on April 11, 2022.

The length of the rocket is 33 m, the diameter is 2.2 m. The starting mass is 83.5 tons. The fairing and part of the rocket body will be made of a carbon composite, the startup plans to produce it itself. The material is selected due to high strength and low production price. Success Rockets has been working on the technology for 2.5 years.

The rocket will have two stages, each will have LE11 liquid engines - nine on the first and one on the second. They will work on a fuel pair of kerosene - liquid oxygen. According to the startup, the Soyuz launch vehicle engines operate on the same fuel. LE11 will be designed for reusable use.

Success Rockets was launched in July 2020 by entrepreneur Oleg Mansurov, he is also one of the creators of the Seraphim messenger. In April 2021, the startup attracted 310 million rubles.

In December, the company conducted the first suborbital launch of the Nebo 25 rocket in the Astrakhan region. In January 2022, she announced the creation of a subsidiary in South Korea to develop an orbital rocket[1].
