2022: Launch a comprehensive solution for managing public transport and fare services
A comprehensive public transport management information system developed and presented by Datapax has been launched in Tomsk, fare services are implemented by Sbertroika LLC with the participation of Sberbank PJSC. This was reported by Datapax on April 14, 2022.
The pilot project will last 2 months, 2 vehicles of the Avtokolonna 1975 carrier on route No. 150 and 2 vehicles of the Transavto carrier on route No. 5 will take part in it. The buses were equipped with high-precision sensors for monitoring passenger traffic , information media panels that will broadcast shuttle and entertainment content for passengers. Validators for cashless payment of travel by bank card or Troika transport card are installed in vehicle salons. As part of the project, the Tomsk Transport mobile application has been launched, which is available for download on Google Play and the App Store. In the mobile application, passengers will be able to see the schedule, lay a convenient route, track traffic on the map in real time, find out the predicted time of arrival of the bus at the stop and pay for the fare. The travel planning function is available to passengers on all public transport in the city.
Residents of Tomsk will have the opportunity to test current digital services for public transport and evaluate their convenience. Passengers will be able to plan a trip and come to a stop exactly by the time the bus arrives. And the use of cashless payment solutions will make the trip more comfortable and safe, increasing the speed of passenger service, noted Maxim Isaev, Deputy General Director of Datapax.
