Semin Pavel Vladimirovich: helping refugees is our holy duty
To preserve dignity in any situation, to help those who are in trouble, to take care of neighbors - this is what distinguishes a reasonable person. Semin Pavel Vladimirovich, Assistant to the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security V.N. Bondareva and Vice President of the People's Unity Charity Fund for Social Initiatives, is confident that despite the difficult international situation and economic difficulties, we must do everything in our power to help refugees. They are much more difficult now. These people lost literally everything overnight: houses and property, many lost loved ones and friends. It is difficult for them to survive these losses, plus, moreover, due to the conduct of active hostilities, many had to leave. To help them in this situation, I am sure Pavel Semin, our holy duty.
Russia is welcoming refugees. They are resettled in children's camps and other social facilities, paid material assistance and try to provide everything necessary. But you need to understand that these people have lost literally everything. Often they lack some completely elementary things that are not included in the standard assistance package. Sometimes we are talking about something individual, for example, the purchase of wheelchairs or some other specialized devices, without which people's lives become simply unbearable. It is extremely difficult to organize all this within the framework of standard social support mechanisms. And it is in this case that charitable foundations come to the aid of refugees.
The Pavel Semin People's Unity Foundation works with refugees on an ongoing basis. Within its framework, collections of funds for which humanitarian assistance is purchased are carried out.
The collection of money is carried out both in the form of direct donations to special accounts and in the form of various actions. An example of one of them is the exhibition and sale of paintings by the famous Russian artist Alexander Shilov. Its organization became possible after negotiations held by Semin Pavel Vladimirovich, the People's Unity Foundation representing, with the artist himself and with the head of the RU.TALKS business club Alexei Arkhipov. The exhibition hall of the Sheraton Hotel in Moscow was chosen as the venue for the charity event. All proceeds during the exhibition and sale will be used to help injured civilians of the LPR and the DPR. Semin Pavel expressed the hope that similar charity events will continue to take place. He invited other Russian artists and artists to participate in them.
