2022: Platform Launch
In May 2022, the sex robot manufacturer RealDoll launched a platform RealDoll VIP, which is positioned as a social network for sex robot lovers. The service is paid.
On the platform, a user can create a profile under a fictional name so that his real identity is not revealed to other people. Users can send each other messages and photos, as well as unite in subgroups of interests in the field of sex robots.
You can also share videos, and there is a bulletin board for further communication between users. Users have a "wall" in their profile, which functions like a Facebook wall, and other users can post their messages on it.
The cost of monthly membership RealDoll VIP is $29.99, which also includes "3-day early access to publicly announced sales" and "1st point on unique and factory second products." The three-month subscription is $59.95 and gives subscribers a 20% discount on accessories (up to $1.200). The cost of an annual subscription is $149.96.
In addition to the already mentioned features of other subscriptions, a 15% discount on all products (up to $1,200), an invitation to the annual gala concert RealDoll, monthly live broadcasts with RealDoll founder Matt McMullen, Mike Wilson or other senior employees are provided when subscribing for the year. A one-year subscription also includes a $300 annual RealDoll Store Credit accumulative certificate that can be used for any purchase over $1,000.
According to the Daily Star, the appeal of VIP RealDoll seems to be to provide a specialized platform for connoisseurs of sex robots, allowing them to have an isolated online space for communicating with each other, and not to provide any especially innovative functions.[1][2]
