2022: Implementation of automated digital plant protection accounting system

On May 19, 2022, Siltek announced that the Istoki Agro-Industrial Company had introduced an automated digital accounting system for plant protection products based on the Alfa-M sealing device with an RFID label manufactured by Siltek Group of Companies.

The company needed to solve a number of complex tasks related to the movement of drug canisters between units and monitoring their use.

Like any agricultural producer, we had problems controlling the accounting and safety of commodity and material assets, including plant protection products, and this is a very significant expense item, "said Sergey Ermolin, Deputy General Director of Istoki LLC. - Operational information was required: where are the drugs on the go, whether there are re-sorters, whether consumption rates are observed, etc. Plus, there is always a problem of theft.

In "Origins" created their own accounting system based on RFID technology. A plastic seal with a radio mark is attached to the handle of each canister when it is received, which "lives" with this canister all her life: during all movements up to disposal.

Why RFID label? Any stickers are banal, they're unreliable. We put seals with marks on the handles, it's impossible to remove or fake them, "continued Sergey Ermolin. - For four of our divisions we purchased RFID readers, and programmers wrote a special program. So it turned out a system, the essence of which is that each label is assigned to a specific canister and with its help the program records the date of production, supplier, location. And in the future, the storekeeper using the reader notes in the system the movement of the canisters to another warehouse, the issuance of material and responsible persons, etc. Let's say if you need to use three tons of the drug in a certain shift, and five were used, then our algorithm makes it clear that something is happening wrong, we need to figure it out. Thus, we control canisters in time and space, and not only complete, but also partially used and empty.

On the basis of the developed technology for integrating RFID tags into the Alpha series sealing devices, the specialists of our Engineering Center managed to create a "digital object passport" that allows automating supply chain control for almost any material object, "said Anton Babayants, commercial director of Siltek Group of Companies. - It is worth noting that in addition to digital identification, the sealing device retains one of its basic functions - object authentication control. Such a solution can be used in almost any area of activity for marking and further digital accounting and control of products.

During the use of the system, the company managed to establish clear control over the shelf life of the drug, quickly obtain information about the availability of protective equipment in each division, track consumption and move drugs between warehouses on time or replenish stocks without paper storage books. The possibility of theft is completely excluded.
