KPBS delivered Kvazar cryptographic protection for Greenatom

2022: Delivery of modules "Kvazar"

KPBS on April 28, 2022 announced the supply of high-performance Kvazar encryption modules in the interests of Greenatom.

Performance encryption modules "Kvazar" are used to crypto-mimic protection of information of OTN networks. Such networks as of April 2022 are used in the metro, regional and long-haul packet-optical transport networks. Since 2021, Greenatom has been using Kvazars on the communication channel between various Metrocluster data centers. The solution is designed to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of information, to protect against the imposition of false information in relation to information transmitted in the OTN network.

The Kvazar cryptographic protection system uses a minimum set of software, which allows you to skip data packets without delay. The equipment, which is part of the cryptographic protection system "Kvazar," has a certificate of conformity of the FSB of Russia. This document confirms that the product meets the requirements for cryptographic protection of confidential information (including personal data) that does not contain information constituting state secrets.

The choice in favor of KPBS was due to the strict compliance of the proposed solution with the requirements of the customer. During the trial operation, which lasted for 5 months, the high performance and reliability of the Kvazar modules were confirmed. The agreement provides for extended support from the vendor, which will ensure the continuity of processes and simplify the maintenance of the system, - said Alexey Orlov, representative of KPBS.
