2022: Transfer of patient blood pressure data to the IT system
As it became known in May 2022, in the Elizabethan hospital, data on the blood pressure of patients are automatically transferred to the IT system. The latter is called the Unified Medical Information System for Remote Monitoring of Blood Pressure (ESAD). The developer of the solution is the Medical Technology Center.
It is noted that the EISAD is one of the elements of the Personal Medical Assistant. The product allows you to transfer the measurement results to the patient's electronic medical record in real time, regardless of where the patient is at this moment. This allows doctors to receive accurate data instantly, and, therefore, the quality of remote monitoring services and the effectiveness of operative adjustments to the diagnosis increase.
For remote monitoring, only Russian-made tonometers are used, which support data transmission over secure mobile communication channels. In the near future, it is planned to move from demonstration to full use: to equip the specialized departments of the Elizabethan hospital with the necessary amount of equipment. The service will be available to all patients.
As reported in the Elizabethan Hospital in May 2022, hypertension is a widespread epidemic worldwide and one of the most common risk factors for stroke, myocardial infarction, heart failure and other diseases of the heart and circulatory system. According to statistics cited by the medical institution, about 45% of cases may not know about it, seek help at the last moment. In order to prevent the development of complications, constant monitoring and coordinated actions by the doctor are necessary to reduce pressure to below 140/90. ESAD simplifies this process.
