2022: Upgrade of baggage handling system
Reksoft announced on May 25, 2022 that it had taken part in the modernization of Mineralnye Vody International Airport.
Reksoft, in partnership with Konvetronic, has completed a project to upgrade the existing baggage handling system. In this tandem, Reksoft was responsible for the development of software (software), the creation of a digital dual system, the configuration and launch of the complex software. The area of responsibility of Konvetronik included the design, supply and installation of equipment. Commissioning was carried out by a joint team of specialists. It is important to note that the process of modernization and launch of this complex took place without stopping the operation of the system in the conditions of the existing airport.
The main purpose of the upgrade was to replace obsolete and install new equipment in order to expand and prepare the baggage handling system for a significant increase in the capacity of the airport and bring it to current standards. So, as a result of the project, the system capacity increased by 2 times. The number of inspection lines has increased by 2 times, and their total length has increased by 2.5 times, and the process of functioning of the complex is built so that the lines operate in hot standby mode (that is, with automatic redirection of baggage flows in case of failure of any of the system elements). The number of passenger check-in points has increased 2.5 times, which corresponds to the scale and tasks of the airport in current realities.
The updated baggage handling system includes a complete process complex from check-in to loading of baggage on board the aircraft, as well as delivery of baggage to passengers. The modernization of the system made it possible to achieve a high degree of reliability and resistance to the occurrence of emergency situations.
The conveyor equipment of the updated system is designed and manufactured in Russia and 80% consists of domestic components.
A feature of the project was the conduct of all work without stopping the operational activities of the airport. The plan to upgrade the baggage handling system was clearly coordinated and agreed with the airport services. All work was completely completed within a month, and due to the full development of all the nuances of launching the system on a digital twin, no overlaps arose at this important stage, project "commented Alexander Semenov, deputy director for new markets at Rexoft. |
