Soyuzsnab completes project to implement TopLog YMS yard management system

2022: Implementation of the TopLog YMS yard management system on the territory of the enterprise

On June 5, 2022, Toplog announced the completion of a project to implement the TopLog YMS yard management system on the territory of Soyuzsnab. Earlier, in 2016, Toplog specialists had already automated the warehouse logistics of the Soyuzsnab holding.

The territory of the Soyuzsnab production company is a complex consisting of 11 warehouses of finished products, raw materials and materials, administrative tasks, checkpoints, document processing and accounting departments for warehouse operations, loading/unloading zones of transport, etc. - a total of 30 control points. In order for cargo cars traffic jams waiting for their CU turn to occur within the warehouse yard and outside it (where there is no specialized site for it), the internal space must be released in a timely manner. These and many other customer tasks are now handled by TopLog YMS.

TopLog YMS is a solution that made it possible to optimize the interaction between the sales department and eleven warehouses of the enterprise. Prior to yard control automation, managers agreed the shipment without understanding the occupancy level of the warehouses, and loading/unloading planning was carried out upon arrival of the vehicle. Thanks to the TopLog YMS digital ecosystem in Soyuzsnab:

• automated planning of work on flights and time of stay motor transport at each control point;
• notification of logicians and sales department managers about the vehicle arrival date and time is carried out in automatic mode;
• a system for planning the time slots of the electronic queue for the arrival of vehicles to the territory of the warehouse complex was introduced;
• monitoring of traffic, the process of passing control points, the time of loading/unloading operations, etc., is carried out in online format;
• there is no need to use paper passes at the checkpoint when leaving - all data is in the TopLog YMS system;
• exchange information between all IT customer systems is configured: YMS, KISP and. WMS

The introduction of information to YMS on the time required for passing control points allows you to form routes with high accuracy and eliminate stagnation of freight transport on the territory of the enterprise, and optimally plan the load on warehouses. Checkpoint passes are issued three times faster, each employee of the Logistics and Sales Department has access to data on the time of arrival of the vehicle for loading and unloading.
