2022: Dump Truck Announcement

In early June 2022, it became known about the creation by BelAzom of the world's first 90-ton mining truck with a gas engine. Such a motor allows transport to save up to 30% on fuel due to the difference in the cost of diesel and gas fuel, said Alexander Naskovets, general designer of the enterprise.

This is the first dump truck in the world with such a capacity, which works purely on gas, on liquefied natural gas. A tank with a volume of 1.5 thousand liters is enough for a full change of work from 12 to 14 hours, depending on the operating conditions, - he noted (quote from TASS).

They worked on the dump truck together with the Russian company Kuzbassrazrezugol. The plant will be able to produce up to 25 of these machines monthly. In a year, the company intends to introduce a 130-ton dump truck running on diesel fuel.

The dump truck uses a Chinese engine, it is supposed to test it for a year in real operation. During this time, the company will also develop a 130-ton gas-fired dump truck.

In parallel, work is underway together with the Ural Diesel-Motor Plant, with the Kolomna Plant, at the beginning of 2023 we will receive the first dump truck with a 100% Russian engine. We must count on ourselves, the Chinese, of course, are great, but we are no worse, "said Alexey Lyamin, general director of BelAZ TD JSC .

BelAZ manufactured the first gas dump truck with a carrying capacity of 45 tons in 2019. Tests of the machine in real pit conditions showed the following results: emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere decreased by 10 times, fuel costs - almost twice as compared to the operation of a similar dump truck on diesel fuel. By June 2022, the enterprises produce the world's largest mining dump truck - with a carrying capacity of 450 tons.[1]
