JSC "UK" Kuzbassrazrezugol "is an enterprise of the raw materials division of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC), specializing in open-pit coal mining. In 2006, Kuzbassrazrezugol Management Company came under the control of UMMC-Holding LLC, to which the functions of the sole executive body were transferred.
The company's enterprises produce energy and coking coal (the main grades are D, DG, G, SS, T, CO, CS).

2023: UMMC withdrew from Kuzbassrazrezugol capital
Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC) resigned from the shareholders of Coal Company Kuzbassrazrezugol JSC (KRU) in July 2023, but this became known three months later. At the same time, the new composition of the owners of the KRU is not reported.
As Interfax was told in the Kuzbassrazrezugol company, changes in the management structure did not affect the production activities of the organization and its assets. All branches and subsidiaries continue to operate normally, ensuring the continuity of the production process and the fulfillment of all obligations to customers and partners, the KRU said.
The company added that UMMC terminated the powers of the management organization in relation to the KRU, by the end of October 2023 "the general director is the single executive body of the KRU."
By the beginning of 2023, UMMC owned 58.3% of the shares of KRU, another 15.4% belonged to Violan LLC, 8.6% - Voliron LLC, 6.6% - Elarium LLC, 2.6% - Kvolis Limited, 2% - Disabled Ventures Ltd.
By November 2023, Kuzbassrazrezugol ranks second in Russia in terms of coal production. It combines the coal mines Kedrovsky, Mokhovsky, Bachatsky, Krasnobrodsky, Taldinsky, Kaltansky, as well as the company's only underground coal mining enterprise, the Baikaimskaya mine. KRU specializes in open-pit coal mining. The company's enterprises extract energy and coking coal.[1]
