2022: Plan for Power Control System

Portfolio company Profotec will build an electricity control system in China. Rusnano reported this on June 8, 2022.

Russian engineers will receive additional funding for the implementation of a pilot project for localizing DC optical sensor technologies for the electrolysis industry in China. The project will be implemented jointly with a technological partner, which will be determined by the Chinese side.

The localization of domestic technology in China and the receipt of additional funding became possible after the victory of Profotec at the Brix-Russia technology competition, organized by the Special Economic and Innovation Zone of China - Xiamen Province and the Internet Initiatives Development Fund. The purpose of the event was to select domestic innovative products and solutions.

According to the terms of the competition, the project will receive up to 1.2 million yuan from the state fund of China. The partner of Profotec must additionally invest the amount equivalent to the received grant. As a result, the total amount of funds may amount to 2.4 million yuan (or 21,792,000 rubles at the exchange rate as of June 10, 2022), which is enough to build a large-node assembly with a metrological laboratory.

The planned calculation of the project for revenue for the 12-year horizon is more than 797 million rubles. As of June 2022, a detailed study of its economic and technical parameters is underway.

Systems based on measuring optical sensors "Profotec" are used to build complexes of technical and commercial accounting of electricity at industrial enterprises. Their introduction contributes to the intellectualization and digitalization of the electric power industry and allows effective control of energy supply, which is technologically and economically important for energy-intensive industries.
