Add end-to-end process analysis and support for parallel activities

The developers the Russian business processes of the Optimization analysis and optimization system (Process Mining technology) have supplemented the product with capabilities that include end-to-end process analysis, support for parallel activities and expansion of work with graphs. The added functionality is aimed at improving analysis and optimization, business processes which allows companies to more accurately manage processes and improve their efficiency. The developer announced this on October 22, 2024.

The end-to-end process analysis functionality in Optimining allows you to display several previously analyzed processes within the same model. This allows you to see the entire processing cycle, identify bottlenecks at process interfaces and understand the relationships between them. For example, you can analyze the interaction of support processes - from registering a user's request and resolving an incident to implementing and then implementing a change that fixes the root cause of the problem.

Support for parallel executable activities allows you to accurately determine the order of steps and display the process in a form that is understandable to users. Previously, parallel execution of steps could lead to incorrect restoration of the process map from the point of view of process execution logic, when the same activities on the graph were displayed in different orders in different cases. Additional advantages of this functionality are a reduction in the number of process mapping options and a deeper understanding of the relationships between steps.

It also became possible to connect any two process activities on the graph and automatically get statistics on this transition. This makes it easier to work with non-standard requests and saves specialists time. In most systems of the Process Mining class, graphs display only direct transitions between steps, and analyzing transitions between arbitrary steps requires the development of separate views and the involvement of analysts. Optimizing solves this problem.

The key differences before Russian and foreign analogues are: a large set of tools and built-in functions for process analysis, predefined models for predicting further process steps, the presence of APIs for the system for integration with other information systems of the enterprise.

Development of analytical system for monitoring business processes of enterprises of the Process Mining class

The company "Systematics" on April 3, 2023 announced that it had completed the second stage of the project "Development of an analytical system for monitoring business processes of enterprises of the Process Mining class" Own RM. " The solution is called Optimining and the basic functionality necessary and sufficient to analyze the business processes of organizations.

As part of the second phase of the project, the main work was carried out on the development of Optimining functionality, which provides knowledge about the structure and behavior of the process from the event logs created by information systems during operation.

Optimizing functionality answers the following questions:

  • How do processes actually work?
  • How does each site work - office, employee, system?
  • What needs to be changed to increase productivity?
  • Who gets around the rules and how?
  • What happens to each specific process instance?
  • The degree of deviation from the ideal route, the reason for the deviations?
  • How did the changes affect the process metrics?

The main functionality of the Optimining system includes:

  • Restore and display the actual process map (process graph);
  • Visualization of various process KPIs in the form of tables and graphs;
