2023: Agrodron Testing
On the territory of an agricultural enterprise in the Stavropol Territory, software was tested, which will form the basis of a project to create a Russian agricultural drone. The project is being implemented by Aeromax in close cooperation with STEPPE Agroholding. Aeromax announced this on February 14, 2023.
The capabilities of the digital solution and the potential of its application for agriculture were assessed positively by the specialists of the Steppe Agroholding. Test work took place on farmland with an area of several hectares. During the tests, the accuracy of application and the uniformity of spraying of plant protection products (SPR) were evaluated. According to the results of tests on the fields of Agroholding, the software made it possible to plan and carry out an autonomous flight of agrodron, the device successfully followed a given route, kept the required height, adjusted the trajectory taking into account obstacles and made a point introduction of biological plant protection products.
The development of an agrodron management system is the most important step on which the effectiveness of the final product depends. The next stage after testing the software will be the completion of work on the creation of an agricultural drone completely on the Russian platform.
Quadcopters are effective when used by agricultural producers in the crop industry. With their help, fields are treated with plant protection products, crops are monitored, technological processes are monitored, aerial photography of fields is carried out. All this optimizes agrotechnological processes and reduces costs. The project to create a Russian agrodron is not the first joint project of companies.

2022: Dronoport Testing
Specialists of the Steppe agricultural holding have begun testing the drone port - an autonomous station for basing agricultural drones that serve farmland. The device allows you to control the flights of quadcopters remotely, from anywhere in the world with Internet access, without pilots leaving for a specific field. This was announced on June 21, 2022 to TAdviser by Aeromax.
Quadcopters are widely used in the technological processes of agricultural holding: with their help, they process fields with plant protection products, monitor the state of crops, monitor technological processes, and conduct aerial photography of fields. Drones are controlled by pilots from the ground, but with the introduction of drone ports, the process will be automated and centralized, representatives of Aeromax said.
According to them, a flight mission comes to the drone platform from the mission control center, after which the quadcopter autonomously flies out, performs the task and returns to the base station for automatic charging. At this time, all received photo and video materials are remotely transmitted to the data processing server through the drone port. The dronoport can be used all year round: it is sealed and maintains the necessary temperature regime.
According to Andrey Neduzhko, General Director of the Steppe agricultural holding, the agricultural holding is implementing a program to expand the use of unmanned vehicles and is working together with Russian companies to create domestic solutions for the agricultural industry.
"Successful testing of the drone and further scaling of the project will create a single mission control center in the company. This optimizes processes and will reduce costs during the operation of agricultural opters, "says Andrey Neduzhko. |
The project to develop a drone port for the Steppe agricultural holding is being implemented by the Russian company Aeromax. The company is also working to create a domestic agrodron. According to Sergei Akhmetshin, General Director of Aeromax, the company has scientific and technical potential that will allow it to find "new effective solutions for the agro-industrial complex."
"Aeromax has its own production of civilian aircraft systems of the helicopter and aircraft type, a variety of target loads of ground control stations. We consider the development of unmanned technologies in agriculture to reduce production costs and improve crop quality to be very important and promising, "added Sergey Akhmetshin. |
