As it became known in June 2022, the network of medical centers "Open Clinic" has implemented software for the rapid detection of cancer in pictures. The company invested almost 52 million rubles in this project.

We are talking about the use of the Botkin.AI system, which is being developed by Intellect. The service was introduced in five medical centers of the network in the segments of CT examination and chest X-rays to search for malignant neoplasms, search for signs of pneumonia in COVID-19, as well as oncological screening of breast cancer during the study of mammograms.

During the experimental and industrial operation, 1236 CT examinations of the chest organs (OGK) were processed to search for malignant neoplasms (MNR); 854 CT examinations of the OGK to search for the pathology of COVID-19; 68 mammograms for MRV search; 799 OGK X-rays.

The results of the processed 2,158 studies were sent to the PACS servers of the Open Clinic network of medical centers and the Botkin.AI PACS servers, and are also available from the Robomed Medical Information System (MIS).

It is noted that AI technologies were able to integrate into the processes of analyzing radiological studies, set up a comprehensive system for the remote description of medical images. This made it possible to automate the routine steps of radiologists, quickly monitor the risks of the development of the disease, exchange diagnostic images between all participants in the medical and diagnostic process.

The solution is aimed, among other things, at eliminating a number of global problems and combating the corresponding socio-economic effects. This concerns the problems of medical personnel - a lack of highly qualified specialists and an excessive burden on existing medical employees, as well as insufficient quality of medical services: skipping pathologies, a long process of forming X-ray conclusions, - said the head of Intellect Sergey Sorokin.
