2022: Application to Improve Teacher Efficiency

The vocational education system uses platforms for distance learning for students, but they have a number of disadvantages, such as accounting for not all components of the educational process in the system, difficulties with setting up the system depending on the needs of users, with the implementation and support of the system. Scientists of the Perm Polytechnic presented a version of an intelligent web application for teachers, which will be used in the preparation of bachelors and masters studying in the field of informatization and robotization, as well as in the advanced training of employees of IT enterprises.

The intellectual information system was developed within the framework of scientific and technical projects with the support of a scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation to young scientists and graduate students (No. SP-100.2018.5 scholarship) appointed by the Council for Grants of the President of the Russian Federation, as well as with the support of the RFBR (scientific project No. 18-38-00835). In addition, polytechnics received a certificate of state registration of the program for electronic computers.

According to the developers, the technology will reduce the labor intensity of teachers by flexible adjustment of training courses and individual practical tasks in accordance with the training methods used, the specifics of the disciplines studied, the use of training components to automate the process of controlling knowledge and skills.

"The most important functionality of the system consists in automatic generation for each trainee of individual versions of small practical tasks and in automatic assessment of the student's performance of tasks, formation of comments and recommendations to the trainee. Through the implementation of the function, the presented development allows, in addition to testing knowledge, to organize control of initial skills when students perform small practical tasks. Such tasks can be used, for example, when protecting laboratory reports, during exams, " explains Ivan Polevshchikov, one of the developers, associate professor of the Department of Information Technologies and Automated Systems

For teachers, the system is also of interest in that it allows you to remotely check the work of students, store information about the results of knowledge control, as well as organize automated support for decision-making when presenting intermediate certification.
