2022: Vice President of AKAR

Alexander Kulikov, chief operating officer of the Igronik group, was elected vice president of the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia (AKAR) in June 2022, which was announced by the latter on June 30, 2022.

In June 2022, at a meeting of the AKAR Council, it was decided to transfer the working group on interaction with state customers to the status of a commission for working with the public-corporate sector. Alexander Kulikov headed this group from 2021 (from the moment of its creation), and, becoming the chairman of the commission, was appointed vice president of AKAR.

The share of the public-corporate sector in the economy and in the media industry is actively growing, and we believe that this market is the future - it is its participants who will become the main locomotives of the industry. Nevertheless, the market for state-corporate ordering and procurement is not understood and is often poorly understood by its participants. We expect that the creation of a specialized collegial body - a commission for working with the state corporate sector on the basis of AKAR, will make cooperation between the advertising industry with this large and important pool of customers more productive, creative and profitable for both parties, - commented Alexander Kulikov.

The commission aims to develop initiatives to represent the interests of the advertising industry in dialogue with the state, including the development of proposals for improving legislation, the formation of client and agency ratings for working with state corporate orders, the creation of methodological recommendations and professional examinations.

The advertising industry of Russia for June 2022 is experiencing turbulence, the landscape of the industry is changing, the "rules of the game" are being updated, players have to rebuild and adjust their focus and priorities. The public-corporate sector in this context remains a stable and reliable partner, not just maintaining, but in places increasing its presence in the media space, but at the same time requires a special approach and special expertise. The "Igronik" group has great knowledge and experience, which at the moment can be especially useful to colleagues. And we are confident that the commission for work with the public-corporate sector will become a competence center on the basis of AKAR and will serve the development of interaction between the market and the state, - said the executive director of AKAR Valentin Smolyakov.
