Plan for equipping three more stations at BAM and Transsib with digital automation
By the end of 2022, the ZHAT Division GC 1520 will equip Russian three stations at BAM and Transsib with digital automation of production. Eastern Railway Landfill Digital control of train traffic has already been launched at 9 facilities in 2022. This was announced on September 8, 2022 by GC 1520.
Work goes on the Trans-Baikal (Ussuriysk) and Far Eastern (Yadrin and Apkan) highways. Launches took place at five BAM facilities, two Transsib crossings and two strategically important stations of the Far Eastern Road - Novonezhino and Leninsk-2, border China.
Automation by 15-20% optimizes movement intervals, self-diagnoses equipment, blocks external cyber attacks, minimizes operating costs throughout the life of the equipment.
Digitalization of stations and tracks repeatedly increases the efficiency and security of infrastructure. The following is being introduced at the Eastern training ground:
- interval control systems - control the movement of trains according to traffic lights in locomotive cabins, increase throughput and reduce the inter-traffic interval;
- microprocessor centralization systems - with their help, dispatching personnel control arrows and traffic lights through a computer, monitor the operation of equipment, and can detect pre-failure states. In addition, the systems are able to automatically build train routes according to the specified parameters.
Microprocessor motion control systems introduced at the Eastern Polygon are capable of operating in the range from -40 ° to + 70 ° C, withstanding special climatic conditions in the region. In addition, all automation is equipped with a system of protection against impulse overvoltages, which is extremely important not only in areas with high thunderstorm activity, but also in any sections of the railways. Lightning protection eliminates the possibility of malfunctions during lightning strikes and switching in power grids.
Digitalization of Novonezhino station
GK 1520 digitalized the railway station Novonezhino in the Primorsky Territory. The Group of Companies announced this on August 1, 2022.
With the help of the microprocessor centralization system MPC-E, the dispatching personnel will be able to control arrows and traffic lights through a computer, monitor equipment parameters, and detect pre-failure states. In addition, the system is able to automatically build train routes.
The development minimizes operating costs over the life of the equipment. The use of advanced diagnostics allows you to move from regular service of devices to service according to the actual state.
Modernization of train traffic control systems is part of a large-scale project RUSSIAN RAILWAY infrastructure development of the Eastern landfill (BAM and Transsib). Automation increases line capacity, reduces operating costs, reduces spacing and improves traffic safety.
Implementation of control system at Leninsk-2 station
Specialists of the ZHAT GK 1520 Division have introduced a digital control system at the Leninsk-2 station. This station, located in the Jewish Autonomous Region, is the closest to the new cross-border bridge over the Amur to China. The Group of Companies 1520 announced this on July 13, 2022.
The station installed a microprocessor centralization system MPC-E. With its help, the dispatching staff will be able to control arrows and traffic lights, as well as regulate train routes according to the specified parameters.
The introduction of automation ensures the efficiency and safety of transportation, optimizes inter-traffic intervals, increases the throughput of lines.
The bridge over the Amur, designed with the participation of Dalgiprotrans (part of GK 1520), and the adjacent infrastructure (including the Leninsk-2 station) make up the railway crossing to China.
The large-scale infrastructure project is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the countries and will increase the volume of mutual trade. In the context of the reorientation of cargo flows to the East, the border crossing will give Russian shippers the opportunity to form new supply chains.
