2022: Implementation of the service charging and charging solution

Specialists of the IT company Jet Infosystems have integrated the Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) solution, which allowed Humans to independently configure online charging of services, manage the list of services and develop a flexible personalized tariff policy for subscribers. This was announced by the company "Jet Infosystems" on July 13, 2022.

Humans.uz is a superapp that combines fintech a service, services cellular communications and an online payment showcase with a cashback function. Since 2020, the company provides services mobile communications Internet and standards in LTE. To Uzbekistan increase the number of subscribers and the list of services offered, the company decided to expand the line of tariff plans. To do this, within the framework of the used service quality control and charging management system (PCC), one of its elements was introduced, which is responsible for the application of subscriber service policies (PCRF).

To build a universal line of flexible tariff plans, we needed to provide the technical ability to analyze each subscriber session in detail and apply the rules for its processing, taking into account various criteria. As a technical partner for the integration of such a solution, we chose Jet Infosystems Central Asia, which already has proven experience in implementing such projects both in Russia and other countries, commented Alexey Malinin, Technical Director for Telecom Product at Humans.

The PCRF element allows you to configure the mobile service management policy based on subscriber profile parameters, connected options, subscriber location, and time of day. For example, if a subscriber runs out of several tens of gigabytes of Internet traffic, the program must track this, reduce the data transfer rate and send a message to the operator's billing system that a particular subscriber has used up his limit on the balance.

Jet Infosystems specialists installed the PCRF software solution in the Humans cloud environment, and also performed basic system settings, IP addresses and signaling interfaces. The software was integrated with existing customer monitoring, billing and notification systems. During the translation of commercial traffic, technical support was provided.

The main difficulties of the project were associated with restrictions on entry into Uzbekistan amid the pandemic. Therefore, all work was carried out remotely together with the IT specialists of Humans.

The implementation and configuration of the solution took only two months. After integrating the PCRF element, we trained Humans specialists in basic operating rules. This tool will allow the company to improve charging and charging processes, as well as develop its own tariff policy, commented Dmitry Ivanov, Operator Business Development Manager of Jet Infosystems.
