2022: Confirmed compatibility with Astra Linux Common Edition 2.12 and Astra Linux Special Edition 1.7.

Astra Group of Companies and Inform-Sistema NPO, a domestic software manufacturer, have confirmed the compatibility of OCAstra Linux and both versions of MARK Cloud ILS: browser and installed - server or desktop. This was reported by the Astra Group of Companies on July 14, 2022.

ILS "MARK Cloud" are Russian software designed to automate information and library activities based on cloud computing technologies. Such software is mainly in demand in libraries, library and information centers, archives and repositories of documents and literature. At the same time, due to a wide range of functionality and a flexible software architecture, the MARK Cloud ILS can be successfully used as a customizable software platform for automating work in all areas involving processing large amounts of data and managing digital content. Since 2018, MARK Cloud ILS has been the basis for the automation of more than 400 public libraries in Moscow: on its basis, various digital services are provided to the population in a single cloud network.

Both versions of the product were checked for compatibility with the OS: intended for use through a web browser and server/desktop.

To test the web version, experts connected to ILS from a computer based on Astra Linux using a typical browser, checked the functionality of the solution and made sure that the capabilities announced by the developer were available in full.

The set of tests of the desktop version of the system included its installation on a PC running Astra Linux and testing of all functionality. As a result, experts also revealed that the product works correctly. For both the web and desktop versions, compatibility with two OS variants was tested: Astra Linux Common Edition 2.12 and Astra Linux Special Edition 1.7. According to the results of research by ILS, MARK Cloud received official certificates as part of the Ready for Astra Linux program.

In the realities of 2022, when when choosing the software basis for automation of activities, it is important for Russian organizations not only to focus on import substitution, but also for security reasons to minimize the use of freely distributed software from foreign and international development teams, we are glad to offer our users the opportunity to comfortably work with ILS in the environment of a secure domestic operating system Astra Linux. With a responsible approach to choosing a software product for solving certain application problems, an IT specialist needs not only to look at its presence in the register of domestic software, but also to analyze the dependence of this product on the software environment and built-in external components, which are often implicitly tied to foreign technologies. Thus, the domestic ILS MARK Cloud, which received compatibility certificates under the Ready for Astra Linux program, has established itself as a truly reliable solution and a profitable choice for Russian libraries,
stressed Valery Popov, General Director of NPO INFORM-SISTEMA LLC.

We tested two versions of the product at once: browser and installed directly on the user's computer. In both cases, full compatibility with Astra Linux has been confirmed, which means that our clients can choose the option that best fits them. Even if the company does not have its own IT specialists and its own servers, it can still fully use MARK Cloud ILS through a regular browser.
noted Anton Rudevsky, Director of the Department for Work with Partners of Astra Group of Companies.
