2022: Launch of a Unified Data Management System

The Fuel Company of Rosatom TVEL launched a unified system for managing data on division products - PDM TK (Product Data Management). The company announced this on July 14, 2022.

The system will ensure the digitalization of the joint work of scientific, experimental, design and technological divisions of the Fuel Company enterprises, as well as the development and management of technical documentation with the possibility of its transfer to the ERP system for use in production planning. Thus, all users, regardless of the enterprise, will have access to unified information about the products being developed and produced.

The unified PDM is implemented on the advanced import-independent software platform for technical training of IPS production (Intermech Professional Solutions) through the centralization of the automated control systems for design and technological preparation of production (ACS KTPP) operating in the division. The first to join the divisional system were 1200 employees of TVEL JSC, MSZ JSC, ChMZ JSC, VNIINM JSC, NZHK PJSC and NZHK-tool LLC. It is planned that in 2023-2024. the system will gradually unite 16 enterprises of the Fuel Company.

As early as July 2022, TVEL has one of the largest PDM installations in Rosatom, so the next step was to create a unified product data management system for the Fuel Company. The put into operation PDM TC will create a virtual working environment for employees and ensure their interaction on joint projects, regardless of belonging to a particular organization of the fuel division. This is another example of increasing the efficiency of our production processes through new digital solutions, - said Yevgeny Garanin, director of digitalization at TVEL JSC.
