2024: Revenue growth 1.9 times to ₽233,5 billion

The Russian representative office of the Chinese automaker Changan (Chang'an Motors Rus LLC) increased revenue 1.9 times - to ₽233,5 billion at the end of 2024. At the same time, the company's net profit decreased by 9.3 times and amounted to ₽808,5 million. The organization announced this in early April 2025.

According to Interfax, these indicators are contained in the financial statements of the company, which is one of the leading players in the automotive market in Russia along with the Chinese manufacturers Great Wall, Chery and Geely. Changan's cost of sales in Russia increased by 89.1% to ₽204,3 billion, and gross profit reached ₽29,3 billion, which is 76.7% more than in 2023.

Changan doubled revenue to ₽233,5 billion

The company's commercial expenses for the year increased 5.5 times - up to ₽28,9 billion. Of these, ₽10,9 billion were allocated to services to increase sales, another ₽10,1 billion - to bonuses for fulfilling implementation plans. The cost of transportation and storage of goods amounted to almost ₽5,3 billion against ₽2 billion in 2023. The company's management expenses for the year increased by 72.7% - to ₽164,7 million.

The indicator of other income of Changan increased 2.6 times - up to ₽18,8 billion, mainly due to accounting for positive exchange rate differences of ₽18,2 billion. Other expenses doubled to ₽18,7 billion, also mainly due to accounting for negative exchange rate differences of ₽16,8 billion.

The company's balance sheet reserves at the end of 2024 amounted to ₽69,3 billion, which is 2.1 times higher than a year ago. Short-term liabilities for the year increased by 77.5% - to ₽69,3 billion due to the growth of accounts payable to ₽68,6 billion from ₽38,6 billion at the end of 2023.

Long-term liabilities at the end of the year amounted to about ₽1,5 billion, which was due to an increase in the indicator of deferred tax liabilities.

At the end of 2024, the Changan brand entered the top five leaders of the Russian car market in terms of sales, losing in addition to the Russian Lada to competitors from the Chinese Great Wall, Chery and Geely.[1]

2022: Dealer Agreement with AvtoSpecCenter Group of Companies

On July 11, 2022, AvtoSpecCenter Group of Companies signed a dealer agreement with Changan Motors Rus, part of the Big Four automakers from China. Changan Vnukovo Center is the first Changan dealership in the holding's portfolio.

The new dealership is located on 23 km of the Kyiv highway and is part of the AvtoSpetsCenter Vnukovo automobile village. The location was opened in 2014 and is located near the metro stations Filatov Lug and Salaryevo. The showroom with an area of ​ ​ more than 500 square meters presents the entire lineup of the Chinese brand. Guests can access the test drive option and a full range of related services: service, trade-in, accessories, car insurance and car loans. It is stated that all employees of the dealership will undergo regular training and advanced training at Changan Motors Rus.

For July 2022, the main flagship models of the Chinese brand are presented in Russia: Changan CS35PLUS crossovers (costing from 1,869,900 million rubles), Changan CS55 (from 1,029,900 million rubles) and Changan CS75FL (from 2,279,900 million rubles). The premiere of the new Changan UNI-K is planned on the Russian market.

2024: The opening of a self-learning automobile plant. It is controlled by one computer

At the end of October 2024, Changan Automobile opened an intelligent digital plant with self-learning functions. China Unicom and Huawei took part in the creation of innovative automotive production.

The company is located in the city of Chongqing in southwestern China. The advanced plant is equipped with 1,400 robots, 650 autonomous vehicles and more than 200 automated workstations. For high-speed data exchange, 5G mobile communications are used, the implementation of which is the responsibility of the telecommunications company China Unicom.

Changan opened a self-learning car factory. It is controlled by one computer

Huawei has developed an intelligent architecture specifically for the new car plant that allows you to control all production steps in real time using a single computer. Digital twins are involved, which help to simulate, predict and optimize all kinds of processes. AI tools allow an enterprise to learn over time by automating decision-making processes.

The first car to roll off the assembly line of the new enterprise was the Avatr 07 mid-size crossover. In addition, the plant has launched the production of Deep S05 and Changan Qiyuan E07 models. Overall, Changan plans to invest in the development of autonomous control systems, artificial intelligence and other technologies to provide consumers with safe and comfortable vehicles with modern equipment.[2]

2023: Creation of an automotive joint venture with Huawei

On November 26, 2023, Chongqing Changan Automobile (Changan Auto) and Huawei Technologies announced the signing of an agreement on cooperation in the automotive sector.
