The government of the Nizhny Novgorod region agreed with Medsi on the construction of a medical complex for 5.2 billion rubles

In July 2022, the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region agreed with Medsi to build a medical complex in the region for 5.2 billion rubles. As part of this cooperation, the company will act as a concessionaire, the regional government - in the status of a grantor who will assume financial costs.

The medical complex will be located in the urban district of Vyksa, 185 km from Nizhny Novgorod. The center will serve local residents and patients from neighboring Navashinsky, Voznesensky and Kulebak districts, medical services will be available in 29 directions. The design period of the medical center will be 15 months, construction - 21 months. The launch of the medical hub should lead to the reorganization of the entire medical infrastructure of the four districts. The term of the concession agreement will be 20-25 years.

The construction of a large medical complex together with the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region will provide high-quality and high-tech medicine MEDSI residents of 4 districts. Assistance to the population will be provided within the framework of compulsory medical insurance programs and on a paid basis. Currently, we have to agree on a number of conditions for the concession agreement, however, our experience with the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region allows us to look with optimism at the prospects for the implementation of the project, "said Georgy Bykov, director of the public-private partnership of Medsi Group.

According to him, the project is unique for Russia. It is being implemented in a remote area from the administrative center, it implies the creation of a full-fledged round-the-clock hospital, in which all types of medical care will be provided from outpatient to high-tech surgical inpatient care, the object itself will be equipped with advanced modern equipment, including CT and MRI, Bykov added.^[1]
