Refusal to board Russians with tickets to Russophobic EU countries

From September 27, 2022, Ryanair will not let Russian citizens on board with tickets flying to Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania from outside the Schengen zone.

Cabin crew strikes in Spain

In July 2022, members of the Spanish cabin crew union working for Ryanair plan to strike four days a week until January 2023, seeking higher wages and better working conditions, the leader of the USO union said on July 28. Workers require 22 days of leave and two additional monthly payments per year, which is in line with Spanish law.

The strike, which is backed by Spanish unions USO and Sitclpa, will take place Monday to Thursday weekly from August 8 to January 7, 2023. The strike by the company's workers has already caused disruption to many of the country's airports in July.

"Because the company did not listen to workers, we were forced to call new days of strike action," said Lydia Aransans, head of the Ryanair section of the USO union. The union also said that 11 flight attendants were fired during recent strikes in Spain.
