Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radio Electronics (TUSUR) has entered into an agreement with the Russian company BASEALT, which was announced by the latter on August 2, 2022. The university will be able to receive Alt operating systems for educational purposes free of charge. The document was signed by the rector of TUSUR Viktor Rulevsky and the commercial director of BASEALT Roman Myskin.

Also, within the framework of the agreement, the university can use the courses of the Alt Academy educational portal in teaching students. The courses will be fully integrated into the university's learning system, making it easier to enroll and accompany students. Earlier in TUSUR, on the basis of the department of additional education, the Alt Academy center was opened with courses on the study and practical application of Alt operating systems.

Cooperation with one of the developers of Russian operating systems will help us in solving several problems: from the training of specialists and developers using domestic specialized, applied, scientific software in their professional activities, to import substitution software the university as a whole, - said the rector of TUSUR Viktor Rulevsky.

He separately emphasized that it is important for TUSUR that Alt OS is included in the unified register of Russian software and that BASEALT has perpetual licenses of FSTEC of Russia for the development and production of means of protecting confidential information, as well as for activities on the technical protection of confidential information.

The signing of an agreement with TUSUR is an important part of the BASEALT strategy to build human resources through an ecosystem of educational organizations of all levels, from preschool to higher special, - said Roman Myskin, commercial director of BASEALT. - TUSUR is more than a university, it is an innovative educational cluster. In addition to popularizing Russian software, our interaction will undoubtedly open up new prospects for the development of both the Alt family operating systems themselves and other Russian software developed on the development infrastructure and on the Alt OS platform.
