History

2022: Launch of Karmitt Freesycling Platform

On August 4, 2022, Karmitt, an online service for free turnover of things with user bonuses, was launched in Russia. The number of registered on the platform exceeded 25 thousand people. The founders of the project are entrepreneurs Sergei Astakhov and Alexander Oganov. The partners of the platform were the Government of the Moscow Region, the international fund WWF, etc.

The Karmitt platform is designed on the principle of a marketplace: it presents products from books and cosmetics to sofas and exercise bikes, with which their owners are ready to part - each card contains detailed information and communication with a contact person to make a transaction. By installing the application on your phone or using the web version of Karmitt, the user not only gets rid of unnecessary things, but also gives a second life to things, which means that it pollutes the planet less.

We live in an era of uncontrolled consumption, "said Sergey Astakhov, one of the founders of Karmitt. - Economy and ecology go side by side: yes, not always environmentally friendly economically, but economically friendly - always environmentally friendly. The task of our project is to draw people's attention to reasonable consumption: both energy in production and things in everyday life. In addition, we would like to popularize freesycling in Russia together with large companies that share ESG principles.

All goods are given free of charge, but the project concept assumes internal points - carmitts. For registering and making transactions, the user receives carmitts that can be spent on the purchase of things or gifts from partners. Karmitt eco-partners "accept" carmitts at their sites, offering discounts on services and goods in return. For example, you can exchange points for a cup of coffee, a dish in a restaurant or something else. In addition, charitable foundations can be supported in the application: by transferring money to them, in return you receive carmitts to your account.

The pros of the project are obvious: there is no chance of being deceived - everything is transparent and safe; geolocation function - users can select goods by territorial proximity; the opportunity to get the desired goods completely free and, of course, environmental friendliness, concern for the future of the planet.
