TVEL successfully tested its own predictive analytics system

2022: AtomMind System Test

At the Chepetsk Mechanical Plant in Glazov (JSC ChMZ, an enterprise of the Fuel Company of Rosatom TVEL), testing of the system for predicting the quality of products and the condition of AtomMind equipment was completed . The plans are to replicate the domestic solution to all enterprises of the division and bring it to the market as an independent digital product. TVEL announced this on August 9, 2022.

The low-code platform created in the Fuel Company has a single interface and a set of integration tools. This allows you to integrate AtomMind into the enterprise IT landscape and ensure rapid development of services and applications. The system is able to offer optimal parameters and modes of equipment operation to reduce the share of scrap of finished products, as well as visualize the production process and notify users about deviations in equipment operation parameters.

As of August 2022, AtomMind was introduced in the zirconium rolling production of ChMZ JSC. The digital platform is integrated with enterprise information systems: MES (production process management system), ERP (enterprise resource planning system), APCS, ultrasonic quality control, sensors and equipment controllers. The system processes 600 parameters online, in the future this figure will be more than 2000.

In addition to quality management, AtomMind provides comprehensive hardware health monitoring. The system analyzes sensor data and machine parameters, predicting the possibility of failure of certain units. So users get the opportunity to move from planned repair of equipment to repair on demand, without waiting for its breakdown.

Digital approaches to production planning, development and development of new products significantly reduce the time required to fulfill orders. In the context of growing production volumes, this is a necessary tool for achieving business indicators, - said Sergey Chineikin, General Director of ChMZ JSC.

In parallel with AtomMind testing at ChMZ JSC at the Kovrovsky Mechanical Plant (PJSC KMZ, an enterprise of the Fuel Company of Rosatom TVEL), the verification of the prototype system based on the use of digital platform tools was completed.

The system analyzes the data based on highly efficient machine learning models that use historical test data. We managed to ensure the interaction of the model with users using AtomMind, as well as modernize calculations in a number of production processes at KMZ. The experience gained will be the basis for creating a predictive analysis system with advanced functionality and its replication to the enterprises of the Fuel Company, which perform similar tasks.
