2022: Announcement of IT system for diagnostics of civilian aircraft equipment at airports

In mid-August 2022, Concern Radioelectronic Technologies (KRET) presented an IT system for diagnosing civilian aircraft equipment at airports. The aircraft information system (BIS), created by V.V. Tarasov JSC Aviaavtomatika, is designed to detect and localize failures in the aircraft systems, store information about failures and transmit the results to the indication means.

LSI allows you to quickly assess the functional state of the aircraft systems, establish the type and place of the existing problem, perform testing, conduct online maintenance, automatically generate a report on malfunctions and send it to ground services through the Address Reporting System of Aviation Communications (ACARS).

KRET introduced an IT system for diagnosing civilian aircraft equipment

The LSI has a composable architecture that allows it to be applied to various types of civil aviation aircraft. The LSI solves the tasks of maintaining the life cycle of the aircraft using service software applications developed for both portable and stationary aircraft service terminals.

As the industrial director of the Rostec aviation cluster (KRET is part of this state corporation) Anatoly Serdyukov said, the KRET onboard information system makes it possible to wirelessly receive information on the configuration of aircraft system equipment, download software, update the maintenance database, improve trouble monitoring systems, etc.

This development in its functionality is in no way inferior to its Western counterparts. We are convinced that it will be in demand both when creating a new generation of Russian civil airliners and for already operating aircraft, will increase their safety and increase the life cycle, "Serdyukov said.

According to him, by mid-August 2022, development tests are being completed, and the launch of mass production is scheduled for 2023.[1]
