2022: Launch of a service for ordering goods from the United States

On August 1, 2022, Russian Post, without an official announcement, launched the Global Mail service for buying goods in foreign online stores and delivering them to Russia through intermediaries in the United States. This became known on August 22, 2022. The press service of the Russian Post indicated that the state-owned company in this case acts only as a "logistics partner" who transfers parcels for customs clearance and delivers goods in Russia. The legal entity of the service is RP Logistics HK Co. Limited is a subsidiary of Russian Post in China, created in 2021.

You can order goods from Amazon, eBay, iHerb, Apple, Walmart and more. Delivery from the United States in Russia costs from $16.66 at the rate of $1 for 66 rubles. If the store does not accept the user's card, Mail Global buys the product for it on a prepayment from the user. It is produced by Russian Visa, MasterCard and Mir cards. At the same time, the service is paid - 10% of the price of the goods, but at least $7.

For delivery, you must obtain an address in the United States provided free of charge by "Global Mail." After that, goods are ordered to this address in the store, the data is recorded in the service. From all addresses, parcels are redirected to Dalaver and then to the Russian Federation to the nearest Russian Post office to the recipient. According to the service, this whole process will take at least three weeks[1].
