2022: Suspension of orders from Russia

The global marketplace of goods for a healthy lifestyle iHerb February 25, 2022 announced the temporary suspension of the receipt of orders from Russia. The temporary refusal to accept new orders marketplace explains logistical problems. At the same time, restrictions are introduced in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova. On the eve it became known that Russian Post is increasing the delivery time for goods due to problems with air traffic after the closure of airports in southern Russia. US authorities later announced the introduction of "unprecedented" actions against Russian banks and enterprises. iHerb officially opened a representative office in Russia in 2019. Later, the company announced plans to localize the production of dietary supplements in the country. As of February 2022, the marketplace is operating in almost 190 countries of the world^[1].

2021: Creation of a unit from Russian IT specialists

The company iHerb January 25, 2021 announced the creation of a unit of the Russian IT specialist specialists. The first cross-functional development team will begin work in the first quarter of 2021.

iHerb will attract Russian professionals of various profiles: programmers, mobile developers, software testers, designers, data processing specialists. By the end of 2021, it is planned to create 4 cross-functional teams with a total number of more than 40 people. Their task will be to improve, personalize and localize iHerb products on the Russian market.

The online store specializes in selling goods for beauty and health, as well as environmentally friendly products around the world. As of August 2020, iHerb offers more than 30,000 products from 1,200 manufacturers from the United States, Canada, South Korea, Japan and France. Orders are iHerb delivered to 150 countries, and representatives of 34 nationalities work in the company.

Customers are offered natural and organic products, vitamins, supplements, groceries, sports and hygiene products, cosmetics, as well as pet products.
