According to the company, the tram line was launched on August 31, 2022 on an important route for the region. Verkhnyaya Pyshma is a satellite city of Yekaterinburg, in which the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company is based. Modern low-floor trams of Russian production began to run on route No. 333. Now passengers will be able to move between the cities of Yekaterinburg and Verkhnyaya Pyshma faster and safer. The launch of the project will allow the region to increase tax revenues to the budget to 600 million rubles. until 2030 .

As part of the project, Datapax launched a complex of information systems for managing public transport. The trams installed validators for cashless fare payment, sensors for calculating passenger traffic, video surveillance cameras, satellite navigation equipment, media panels, and a climate control system. For passengers with limited mobility, a hinged ramp and a driver call button are provided. The comprehensive digital platform will accumulate and analyze all the collected data, which will allow the region to manage the tram fleet: make adjustments to the route and form a schedule.

From August 31, 2022, the route is displayed in the Yekaterinburg Transport mobile application. Residents can now track tram traffic on their smartphone. The Yekaterinburg Transport mobile application was launched in July 2022. With its help, passengers receive up-to-date information about the schedule of public transport, the forecast of arrival at the desired stop, lay the optimal route and track the movement of vehicles on the city map. The mobile application "Yekaterinburg Transport" is available for download  on Google Play  and App Store.

It is assumed that 11,000 people will use the Yekaterinburg-Verkhnyaya Pyshma route every day. The approximate travel time in one direction will be 20-30 minutes - this is almost twice as fast as by bus. Traffic intervals during rush hour - no more than 8 minutes. In the future, if necessary, it will be possible to extend this branch to other nearby cities and thus optimize the transport accessibility of the entire agglomeration as a whole.
