Rostov-on-Don The production of contactless infrared thermometers measuring body temperature in 5 seconds has been launched. We are talking about the devices "TB-A01," the production of which is engaged in JSC "" Diamond(part of the holding Roselectronics"").

When high temperature is determined, the device screen turns red. Up to 99 recent measurements are stored in the device's memory, which allows you to track changes in indicators. In addition, the thermometer supports the function of measuring the temperature of the surfaces of objects. The device is suitable for both home and medical use.

According to Valery Vakula, General Director of Almaz JSC, the device belongs to the products of the middle price segment, but it is cheaper than analogues with a similar set of functions. He estimated the degree of localization of the device at more than 70%.

The launch of a new production line will expand the range of medical equipment produced by the enterprise. The use of contactless thermometers is one of the elements of ensuring epidemiological safety in public places, which is especially important during the period of growth of infectious diseases. Our production facilities allow us to produce up to 8 thousand thermometers annually, "said Valery Vakula.

Contactless thermometers can be used for both children and adults. Thanks to its simple use, the device has become in demand among ordinary consumers. However, it has drawbacks, the main one is cost. In addition, it runs on batteries and will have to be changed regularly.

According to the press service of Roselectronika on September 2, 2022, the first batch of TB-A01 thermometers will soon go on sale on federal marketplaces, as well as in pharmacies in Rostov-on-Don.^[1]
