2022: The entire ambulance team died after a collision with a fuel truck near Yaroslavl. Video

A serious accident with loss of life occurred at about 9:55 am on August 30, 2022 in the village of Vorobino, where a fuel truck collided with a passenger car and an ambulance.

According to Interfax, fuel spilled out of the fuel truck during a collision, and a fire started. As a result of a traffic accident, the fuel truck overturned, fuel spilled over an area of ​ ​ 150 square meters.

The flames engulfed the fuel truck itself, as well as an ambulance and two residential buildings. Initially, the truck, the drivers say, before whose eyes the tragedy unfolded, rushed across the road at speed and crashed into an ambulance head-on. After that, the truck overturned, overturned the noise screen and fell directly into the territory of a private house. The owners of the building managed to escape and even rescue a pet - a dog from the fire.

The accident occurred at the moment when the ambulance team was driving to the call to the patient.

According to Kommersant, the 49-year-old driver of the Mercedes Actros truck lost control, drove into the oncoming direction and collided with an ambulance. A Suzuki passenger car following in the oncoming lane hit an ambulance in front of him.

The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said that the fire covered about 200 sq.m., the fire was extinguished for 3.5 hours by 45 personnel and 16 pieces of equipment. As a result of the accident and the ensuing fire, four people were killed - employees of the Yaroslavl Central Regional Hospital GUZ YAO, a 66-year-old man and women, 36 and 60 years old, and a fuel truck driver.

After the accident, the security forces opened a criminal case under Part 3. Article 238 of the Criminal Code (Provision of services that do not meet the requirements of the safety of life and health of consumers, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence).[1]
