2017:

Task

Create a site that meets modern requirements in terms of design, structure, speed and adaptability.

Planning

The specifics and probable scenarios of working with the information resource are taken into account. Statistics showed that more than 20% of visitors to the site were "mobile." Mobile First is chosen as the main method. Since it was supposed to post a lot of diverse content on the site, the design should serve as a convenient shell that does not interfere with the perception of information. That is why a minimalist style was chosen.

Smart Site Design

For a visitor to an information resource, the main thing is the availability of information. Therefore, on our part, a lot of work was carried out on the design of navigation and the ergonomics of the resource. We arranged the structure of the site and built it in such a way that even a new user could navigate. There were six main types of content on the site. Together with the client, a special logic has been developed for automatically determining the priorities of posting publications on the pages of the site.

In e-commerce projects, an important indicator is the "average check" and many forces rush to increase it. For an informational and analytical publication, the equivalent of the "average check" is the depth of viewing. Therefore, the site was developed in such a way that when moving to the article, the user received not only text that can be read, but also a whole selection of relevant materials.

Functional design

As mentioned earlier, the main function assigned to the design of the product was the arrangement of accents and the provision of a convenient "shell" for perception.

After the development and coordination of the design concept, it was decided to work not on the design of pages, but on the design of elements. From the point of view of the performer, this was quite reasoned, taking into account all the features of this project.

The result suited everyone - the customer received a modern, informative design that provides maximum emphasis on content.

Result

The creation of the site took a little over four months. Not only the manager, but also the designer took an active part in all the works, including layout and programming. This was due to the complexity of the logics implemented and the need for author control.

Thanks to the implemented "Composite Site" technology, the site turned out to be fast and responsive.
