2022: Plan for installation of a digital weight measuring module on the Izhevsk - Votkinsk highway
On Izhevsk the busy highway - Votkinsk, a Udmurtia compact digital weight measuring module development of a domestic company will be installed (Kazan - Telematics part of the concern). "Telematics" The weight sensor will work as part of a post (ASVGK an automated weight and size control system), Telematics reported on September 16, 2022.
According to the manufacturer, the technological solution, unlike other sensors, allows minimizing damage to the upper layer of the roadway during installation, reducing the period of installation work and the period of road blocking.
The main task of the ASVGK is to fix vehicles moving with violation of weight and/or dimensional parameters in automatic non-stop mode without reducing speed. In the context of increasing traffic intensity, the use of such control points increases the safety and service life of the roadway, as well as increases road safety.
The -Telematics development weight sensor Kazan works according to the teznometric principle and combined the functions of several devices, due to this it became possible to create a compact weight measuring module and completely abandon the use of induction loops and slope sensors. The weight module will be installed at the ASVGK point on the Izhevsk-Votkinsk highway, which will start working in the fall of 2022.
Earlier, Kazan-Telematics has already introduced the ASVGK post in the Republic of Udmurtia in one of the most tense directions Izhevsk - Sarapul. The post records up to 1,000 trucks per day, 23% of which are overloaded.
"Cars moving in violation of dimensional and weight parameters cause irreparable damage to the roadway and road infrastructure. On average, this damage is estimated at 2.5 trillion rubles a year. Also, driving with overload leads to accelerated wear of car parts and endangers the driver and other road users. According to statistics on Russian roads, every third truck has an overload, of which the percentage of exceeding the permitted load by total weight is 20% of cars, and by axle - 80%. Therefore, the use of modern digital solutions for weight and size control is the basis of road safety, "said Marcel Nigmetzyanov, Deputy General Director of the Telematics concern.
The Telematics concern has already introduced 23 ASVGK points in 6 regions of Russia. The automated weight and dimension control system determines various parameters of the passing vehicle: the speed of the vehicle, the weight of each axle, the total weight, the number of wheels on the axle and dimensions in automatic mode.
