2022: Murder of ex-wife and suicide

In the Sverdlovsk region in the city of Ivdel, a local resident Igor Gaidey, who worked as a programmer at a Gazprom branch, killed his wife, 37-year-old Lyudmila Grigorenko, with an ax. The 16-year-old daughter of the woman became a witness to the massacre. It all happened on September 9, 2022.

According to the publication E1.ru, Gaidey attacked a woman who worked as a teacher when she left the house. The victim's mother saw what was happening from the window, after which she ran into the courtyard with her granddaughter, when the man threw an ax at her former mother-in-law, her neighbor heard her screams. He left the house and chased the attacker. Later, Gaidey committed suicide, his body was found two days later.

Lyudmila and Igor divorced in early 2022 after seven years of marriage. According to the teacher's acquaintances, her ex-husband constantly threatened her. On the basis of parting, he began to have problems, the man turned to a psychiatrist with thoughts of suicide.

He was prescribed anti-depression drugs that were not compatible with alcohol. But on his birthday, he drank and showed up to his ex-wife with an axe.

The daughter told the Ura.ru publication that after the divorce, her stepfather terrorized her mother, threatened her, persecuted her. She wrote statements to the police, but no one helped her. The woman wrote one of the statements on the eve of her death. The police arrived at the apartment to her ex-husband, but did not find anyone and left.

On the fact of the allegedly inadequate response of the local police department to citizens' messages, an official audit was scheduled, within the framework of which it will be established whether this information corresponds to reality. If the information turns out to be true, each sister will get earrings, as in the well-known expression, - said Valery Gorelykh, press secretary of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk Region.

According to one of Igor Gaidey's acquaintances, he worked in a rather big team, and those who know him hardly believe that he was able to commit murder.^[1]
